ARGH! There is so much stuff to get for a new baby! How much of this is actually necessary for the survival of a child? 
Kristy and I made our first trip to Babies ‘R’ Us just to look at baby gear and man was that overwhelming. I had no idea how many options there would be! I think we saw something like 25 different baby monitor options…
Anyway, it was fun thinking of what we need and what we want our baby to have. Kristy is now an “Author” on this site and she should be posting about her first maternity clothes buying experience soon…

As a parent of two young children and a sharp observant of other parents, I need to warn new parents that they are articles of baby gear they really don’t want to purchase, and others they need to be very selective about.

There’s definitely an overwhelmingly amount of Baby Gear to select from. Some is definitely not needed! Like I think my wife and I used our maclaren rocker maybe 5 times, but the fisher price papasan was so awesome that we ended up buying two of them. One for upstairs and one for downstairs! Same thing with the jumperoo. Ugly as sin, but boy did it work!
